Hello, I’m Natália, I’m Brazilian, and I’m 40 years old. I have a degree in law, although I can say I’ve never practiced it. While studying and shortly after graduating, I worked in a Registry Office for about 6 years, but when I decided to leave Brazil, I pursued various professions.
I lived in Quito, Ecuador for 3 years (2012-2015), and it was there that I began my journey in triathlon. It all started when I watched a video about two athletes making their debut on the Big Island (Kona-Hawaii), and since then, I’ve been immersed in swim, bike, and run.
In 2015, I moved to Portugal because I have family here, and as soon as I settled in, I started training again. Since then, I haven’t stopped, and triathlon has opened all the doors I needed to be here today, officially launching this website with the project I conceived and am putting all my time and care into.
The W+ Project arose from my desire to give back, to give purpose to my life. I’ve always been very creative, and I love helping people. I also have a strong sense of justice, and I believe that everyone deserves equal opportunities in life. Unfortunately, this is something that doesn’t happen in practice, but if each of us does our part, this story will change.
The W+ Project is about promoting, motivating, and encouraging women through sports. It’s about bringing control into our lives in the face of all injustices and doing for ourselves what no one else can. Sport gives our lives new meaning, purpose, empowerment, and in the most challenging moments of our lives, it brings us comfort, peace, and teaches us that we can achieve anything we want through hard work.
W+ is also a brand, bringing many novelties with clothing designed exclusively for women, whether for running, triathlon, or swimming. We want to bring to the market what pleases us to look at and makes us even more empowered. When people see the W+ logo on our clothes, we want them to immediately identify that we are committed to promoting women’s sports.
I invite everyone to join W+ and support and encourage women in sports, whether at home, on social media, by attending events, and through media coverage of women’s sports, providing more opportunities for women to compete, equal prize money, and much more.
If you’ve made it this far, follow our Instagram profile @teamwomensplus, share our website and profile with more women, and stay tuned for all the latest updates.
Thank you for your support,
Naty.
